As we mark 25 years since September 11, 2001, we pray for those whose lives were lost and forever altered by the attacks on the World Trade Center. In this moment of remembrance, we turn back to the words of then

The nation watched with us as the events of that tragic September morning unfolded. Many of us were at work or school. Others were in transit, commuting or running errands, or at home. Increasingly and inevitably, there are those who were too young to remember an America before 9/11 or weren’t yet born. As time continues to march on, it is important to preserve our memories and to teach those who will come after about what 9/11 meant for our city, country, and the world, with impacts that are so clearly felt to this day.
