The objective of Active Parenting is based on enhancing parenting practices and behaviors, such as developing and practicing positive discipline techniques, learning age-appropriate child development skills and milestones, and promoting positive play and interaction between parents and children. All these practices are sure to be of great assistance to parents working in building the domestic Church. The goal of the Office of Family Life is to support and accompany parents at every stage, every step, and help them better understand their children's individual needs and development, as well as their roles and responsibilities.

This project began in April 2023, and thus far, parents of children 0-5 years and 5-12 years have seen fruitful results. At the Office of Family Life, we understand that this initiative is not just helping parents, but it is helping communities by strengthening families. We are thrilled to have heard amazing stories about the positive changes after parents have implemented the skills they have learned through Active Parenting to communicate effectively with their children. This initiative is spearheaded by Yorleni Tavarez-Sanchez, Hispanic Ministry Coordinator at the Office of Family Life.
