POSITION/TITLE: Associate Director of Youth Faith Formation

DUTIES:

  • Assist in implementing and overseeing youth faith formation and religious education programs across the archdiocese.
  • Serve as liaison for communications with parishes, coordinators, and other stakeholders, providing information, resources, and support.
  • Guide and support parishes and catechists in developing and executing youth faith formation initiatives and related training.
  • Review substantial written materials to remain current on program practices and prepare summary reports for leadership.
  • Develop, deliver, and coordinate training sessions, presentations, and annual Basic Leadership Training courses, including all related logistics.
  • Maintain digital and media content for Youth Faith Formation, including weekly communications, and update program databases and onboarding records.
  • Coordinate Youth Faith Formation events, projects, small focus groups, and regional gatherings, collaborating with related departments as needed.
  • Assist with preparation of statistical and financial reports, budget monitoring, and administration of program platforms such as ArchNYLab, along with other related duties.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Theology, Ministry, Religious Education or a related field, or foreign equivalent, and 24 months of experience in a religious occupation.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have the following skills/experience:

  • Delivering youth or children’s educational programming in school, parish, or community settings.
  • Developing or implementing curriculum, assessments, or instructional plans for K–12 learners.
  • Coordinating training sessions, workshops, or presentations, including scheduling and materials.
  • Supporting educational or ministry programs that serve populations from varied cultural backgrounds.
  • Using online learning or meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams).
  • Using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

 

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Must be a member of the Roman Catholic faith.

Must be willing to participate in ongoing professional development related to youth education and program methodologies.

Regional Travel required up to 25% of the time.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Position is based at the employer’s primary worksite and requires regional travel up to 25% of the time

RATE OF PAY: $82,000 per year

HOURS: 40 hours/week

The Compensation for this position is a fixed rate of $82,000 annually.

This position is considered exempt and not eligible for overtime.
