About Speaker & Musician:

Speaker: Fr. Rafael Capó is a priest of the Archdiocese of Miami who serves as Vice President for Mission and Ministry and Dean of Theology at St. Thomas University. Appointed by Pope Francis as a Pontifical Missionary of Mercy and by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops as a National Eucharistic Preacher, he is passionate about helping young people encounter Christ and live their faith with courage and purpose. Fr. Capó previously served as director of the US Bishops Southeast Office for Hispanic Ministry and has worked as a school president, vocations director, and theology professor. He holds degrees in Biology, Educational Leadership, and Theology, and is actively involved in national initiatives in young adult ministry, Hispanic ministry, and World Youth Day. He also serves as an advisor to the National Network of Pastoral Juvenil (La Red). He is actively present on social media with an emphasis in ministry to young people calling to fitness for the Kingdom, in body, mind, and spirit, continuing to make an impact in the formation of a new generation of leaders for Church and society.

Musician: Salem Joseph Farmand is a husband, father, worship leader, and lay missionary in New York City. He and his wife, Lorena, serve at Good Shepherd Parish in Inwood as Emmaus Journey Missionaries. They are both formed through the Encounter School of ministry, and facilitate Scripture study groups, lead

music ministries, coordinate and participate in intercessory prayer teams, inner healing prayer and speak publicly in multifaceted Catholic environments throughout the city. Salem also teaches and serves on the leadership team of the Encounter NYC campus.
