Position Title: Full-Time Music Director
- Location: Parish of Saint Mary, Mother of the Church (Fishkill)
- Description: The Parish of St. Mary, Mother of the Church is looking for a new full-time music director. Located north of New York City in the Hudson Valley, the parish is seeking a director who will work with the pastor, choir members, and volunteers to strengthen and refine the current music program.
- Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, direct, and ensure music is provided for Masses and other liturgies and events. Playing the organ, cantoring when necessary, and directing choirs.
- Sunday Masses (Sat. 5:30pm Vigil, 8am, 11:15am, 12:45pm)
- Holy Days of Obligation
- Holy Week Liturgies
- Stations of the Cross during Lent
- School Masses, including Graduation
- Thanksgiving Day

- Manage music finances, records, maintenance of instruments.
- Compensation:
- Salary range: $55,000-$65,000

- Responsibilities:
- Play the organ at all weekend Masses (anticipated Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses)
- Serve as cantor when necessary
- Direct the parish choir (semi-professional, September–June)
- Re-establish and direct a children’s choir
- Develop and lead a schola cantorum to chant the Propers and Ordinaries

- Proficiency in organ playing and choral conducting
- Commitment to Gregorian chant, polyphony, and the worthy hymn tradition
- Ability to engage and serve a multi-ethnic, multicultural parish community
- Strong leadership skills to rebuild choirs, form new ensembles, and foster congregational participation
- Excellent collaboration with clergy, staff, and parishioners
- Compensation:
- Salary: $50,000–$60,000, commensurate with education and experience
