How the Program Works

At the St. John Neumann Seminary College, you continue to mature, spiritually and educationally, while undergoing guidance directed toward the determination of your resolution to pursue your vocation. If you haven't already received your B.A. or B.S. degree, you can attend the college of your choice while you participate in the academic and spiritual formation program of the Residence. Fordham, Iona, Manhattan and St. John's give Neumann students a substantial tuition reduction.

If you are like some mature candidates, who have come to Neumann as undergraduates, your present career and past work experience make you eligible for life experience credits that may substantially shorten the amount of time you must spend studying for that college degree you must have before you can enter the major seminary.

If you are a college graduate with little or no background in philosophy, we will provide you with the pre-theology courses you need before you can advance to the study of theology.
You will take part in the life of the Neumann Residence, with Mass, morning and evening prayer, eucharistic adoration, and direct access to priests and counselors on a relaxed, informal basis.

In this unique program, your schedule is so designed as to allow you to fulfill your special spiritual and academic requirements before going on to the major seminary, as well as afford you the possibility of working part time (if need be) to cover your personal expenses.
