St. Nicholas Project

CYO Logo

The St. Nicholas Project encompasses the many Catholic Charities holiday programs offered to thousands of needy families and individuals throughout the New York Archdiocese. It takes its name from St. Nicholas, the third Bishop of Myra, known for his generosity and care for the poor.

An important part of the St. Nicholas Project is the yearly Christmas toy drive. Donations of toys are distributed to the children of families directly served by Catholic Charities, and to the numerous child caring agencies of the Catholic Charities federation.

We are requesting that each team donate a minimum of one toy to the toy drive. The lessons of giving that this project teaches, and the joy that it brings to children in need reinforce CYO’s commitment to developing and strengthening the spiritual and social values of our youth.
